A Division of Zapalski Law
Year-round tax, accounting, and advisory services for individuals and businesses nationwide — with offices in Florida, South Carolina, and Michigan, backed by the authority of a law firm. When your accountant is also your attorney, you get planning, preparation, and protection in one place.
Welcome
Zapalski Tax and Accounting is the taxation and accounting practice of Zapalski Law. Since 2002, clients have trusted us with their returns, their books, and their most difficult tax problems — because behind every engagement stands a Florida attorney with an LL.M. and a Doctor of Business Administration.
That means your tax planning is informed by the law, your books are kept with an eye toward compliance, and if the IRS ever comes calling, your preparer can also be your advocate.

What We Do
From this year's return to a multi-year IRS problem to the monthly discipline of clean books — handled under one roof.
Individual and business returns prepared accurately, plus forward-looking planning that keeps your tax bill as low as the law allows.
Audits, back taxes, liens, levies, and penalty relief — resolved by a tax attorney with the protection of attorney-client privilege.
Monthly bookkeeping, financial statements, payroll, and audit-ready records that show you exactly where your business stands.
Entity selection, formation, and practical advisory that keeps legal, tax, and financial decisions pulling in the same direction.
PCA formation, campaign finance accounting, and polling & statistical analysis through our Political Numbers brand. All campaigns, all parties, all affiliations.
The Difference
Most tax offices can prepare a return. Few can defend one. Because this division operates inside a law firm, your relationship carries protections and capabilities an ordinary preparer can't offer — and your tax strategy is built by someone who understands both the numbers and the law behind them.
Who You'll Work With
Your taxes and books are guided by leadership with advanced degrees in law, business, and economics.
Managing Partner
Chris leads the division with a rare combination of credentials: a Florida law license held since 2002, a Master of Laws (LL.M.), and a Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.). He has spent more than two decades preparing and planning taxes, resolving IRS disputes, and advising businesses — and when a tax matter turns adversarial, he can represent clients directly as their attorney, with the protection of attorney-client privilege.
South Carolina Tax Partner
David brings the discipline of a trained economist to the division's accounting and financial work. He holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Clemson University and has taught economics, statistics, money and banking, and business at the university level for more than two decades — an award-winning educator known for making complex financial concepts clear. As CFO and South Carolina Tax Partner, he anchors the firm's presence in the Upstate.
